Roaster School 101 - September 7th

Join us at Crop to Cup Chicago for a 3-hour, hands-on roasting workshop. We cover the basics (and then some) of turning coffee beans brown, including:

  • Roasting machine anatomy

  • How to use machine controls to manage your roast

  • Data logging, both manual and digital

  • How to alter roasts based process and moisture

  • Roast phases, roast level, and development time 

Participants will get hands-on roasting time on an Arc 800 and will get to take home a bag of beans that they roasted themselves.
