Production Roasting: August 14th, 10a — 1p
Instructors: Trevor Jermasek
This workshop offers a deeper dive into how professional roasters use data and technique to achieve consistency in their roasts. Participants will explore how various temperature readings can reveal critical roasting data, gain practical tools to understand heat loss and retention in their roasters, and expand their profiling skills with different QC equipment.
Topics include:
Utilizing exhaust temperature (ET) and ET ROR
Tailoring an effective Between Batch Protocol
Understanding correlations between batch weight, color tracking, and development
Prerequisite: Introduction to Roasting (or other prior roasting experience)
Limited to 3 participants.
